Black Press Week Finale at National Press Club

After three days of Black publishers coming together for National Newspapers Publishers Association, Black Press Week ended with a luncheon at the National Press Club.

There were guest speakers, most notably a Bernie Sanders staffer who spoke about the importance of the black press.

I throughly enjoyed Black Press Week as it was my first time as a first year journalist with the group.

As always here is what the press club was serving:

Spinach, Arugula Salad, Red Onion, Candied Pecans, Mango and Mozzarella tossed in a Red Wine Vinaigrette

Pan Seared Herb Crusted Chicken, Rice and an Assortment of Peppers
Celebratory NNPA Vanilla Cupcake

Until next time…
