Chance the Rapper Honors the Obamas with Fashion Line

1

Earlier today Chance the Rapper tweeted photos of him wearing Obama inspired threads announcing the coming of a fashion line named ‘Thank U Obama’ available at www.thankuobama.us.

Right on time for Black History Month, Joe Fresh Goods, a Chicago designer honored the nation’s first black president, Barack Obama, with a 90s inspired tee. Barack and Michelle’s wedding date is airbrushed on the front and back. How cute ♥.

The line ranges in price from $35 for a ‘MALIA’ shirt to $150 for an ‘Obama All-Star Jersey.’

Joe wrote this on the site:

‘with this project i wanted to timestamp a period in my life where i felt like i can do whatever i wanted to do and be whatever i wanted to be. The night Obama won his first term gave me so much hope, especially & most importantly as a black man. I decided to make a collection saying “thank you” and give me something to smile at every now and then when i look in the closet.’
