On Thursday, June 8, the Starz Network hosted the premiere of its hit-show Power in Washington, DC at the Newseum with a star-studded red carpet. The entire cast including Omari Hardwick, 50 Cent, Lela Loren, Joseph Sikora, Naturi Naughton, Lala, Larenz Tate and more attended as well as local celebrities like Washington Wizards guard John Wall and the cast of the Real Housewives of Potomac.
As an editor of D.C.’s millennial magazine the WI Bridge and a staff writer for the parent company The Washington Informer, I had the privilege to work the red carpet, interview the cast and watch the season 4 premiere, which is obviously flames and totally delivers.
After the screening the Newseum turned into the Power afterparty with of course an open bar, hors d’oeuvre and music by DJ Quick Silva.
Check photos of the event below:
Joseph “Tommy” Sikora.
Curtis “Kanan” Jackson.
50 Cent didn’t talk to the press, but he smiled and waved and yes he looked good in person.
Lahmard and Larenz Tate.
Larenz Tate will be a fixture in this season of Power.
