Nautica, fashion and lifestyle brand announced a 2017 partnership with GRAMMY® nominated music artist and Nautica brand enthusiast, 19 year-old Lil Yachty.
The name, Lil Yachty, comes from Yachty’s group of friends from high school, called the “Yacht Club,” who enjoyed fashion and made music together; it is where his signature nautical theme of boats and anchors, and introduction to Nautica clothing originated.
As a Nautica brand Creative Designer, Lil Yachty will work with Nautica to design a capsule collection as well as be featured in digital and social media advertising campaigns.
“Nautica is like a part of me,” Lil Yachty said. “It’s for kids, sailors, grown men, and cool people. The designs – the old designs, the new designs, I think it’s dope. There’s not really much out there like Nautica.”

Lil Yachty, a self-proclaimed Nautica fanatic, who scours the internet to find one-of-a-kind vintage Nautica pieces, will work with the brand to design a special heritage capsule collection that will incorporate his own personal aesthetic, with some of the brand’s most iconic pieces.
Go Yachty!
Good information. Glad corporate is paying attention to black power.
