Six Trending Mountain Destinations for Spring Ski Trips

Snowy trips to Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge, Telluride and other famed ski cities are all the rage right now. It seems as if everyone’s on Instagram posing in the snow with their ski gear looking fabulous and now you can too. Vacasa, a leading vacation rental management platform has selected six trending mountain destinations for spring ski trips that are affordable and accessible. The group says its rentals in mountain towns are seeing a substantial rebound from Covid cancellations as spring approaches.

“Guest occupancy this month is up year-over-year in Vacasa destinations like Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Lake Tahoe, California, and in Wyoming we saw an astounding 99 percent increase in stays from December to January,” said Natalia Sutin, VP of Revenue Management at Vacasa.

“This year was a bit of a wild card for ski markets, given COVID-19 regulations and lack of international travelers who often book long stays near their favorite resorts, so it’s encouraging to see consumer confidence return and more people across the U.S. planning ski trips.”

  • Park City, Utah: previous host of the winter games, with two prominent and central ski resorts.
