Award-winning writer, producer and director Je’Caryous Johnson came back to the urban theater circuit to debut his fifteenth stage play “Married But Single” starring LisaRaye, Chrisette Michele and Darrin Henson.
The production kicked off its 11 city tour at the Warner Theatre in Northwest from Friday, March 11 – Sunday, March 13.
While the play didn’t necessarily leave me feeling moved in anyway, here is what did.
The cast looked GOODT, especially Lisa Raye, Chrisette Michele, La’Myia Good, Terrell Carter, Darrin Hinson, Carl Anthony Payne…well everyone.
Like I previously alluded to the plot of the story wasn’t anything I care to sit through again, but I throughly enjoyed the live singing by Chrisette and Terrell. I also thought the stage and set was of high quality and executed really well. The sound man was also on point. Their voices were clear and precise.
The wardrobe styling was everything. I loved every outfit especially the shoes.
I rate this play a 7, but of course you should see for yourself. I think it’s worth the time as girls night out or a cute spring time date. You decide. Check out if it’s coming to a city near you.
