Update: Where Have I Been? New Job, ATL, New Orleans…

So I’ve been missing from my precious blog for a month or so, because life has taken over! Some good things, some not so good things.

Since my last post the most notable things that have happened are:

•Having amazing success, blessings and luck in career, such as being promoted to editor-in-chief of the millennial paper, WI Bridge. [The Bridge is owned by the paper that I work for as a staff writer. If that makes sense]

•Major retail therapy that I have enjoyed oh so much.

•Going to Atlanta to see Beyonce! And going to New Orleans!

•Last but not least I finally got the camera I wanted after going to Best Buy 273849 times with no luck.

So that was the short version of everything that has taken place. While some of it has been unbearable, I know that it has been for the betterment of everyone involved.

Astrologers and spiritual peeps have been saying that 2016 is the year of endings and the way things have been developing in my own life, I can definitely relate. Not just in terms of a romantic relationship, but all relationships in general.

Nevertheless, I know that where I am is exactly where I am supposed to be and everything is working together for my greater good.

I am so excited for some of the things I have coming up and just all of the goodness the world has to offer.

I really have nothing to complain about although I feel as like I’ve been getting dragged this year, but I’ve had worse years. Trust me!

Check out some of my posts on social media from the past month!

1
This pic is from the inside of the National African American Museum of History and Culture in Washington, DC. In September, a few weeks before it opened I got to tour it during the media preview.

When I took this pic I thought oh hey the monument is behind me. On Saturday, Sept. 24 the NMAAHC officially opened its doors to the public and luckily I was there as a member of the press. I will remember that day forever, and I look forward to telling my future kids about it.
3
On Sunday, Sept. 25, I hopped on a flight. Destination: Atlanta, GA. Beyonce, The Formation World Tour.
4
At the hotel with my sister preparing for the concert. It looks like I wore the same thing twice, but on Saturday it was a dress, and in this pic I had on a shirt.
5
Scenes from the show.
6
The famous cathedral in New Orleans.
7
Hand Grenades. N.O.’s strongest drink. Definitely a one and done situation. It tastes like a green jolly rancher.
8
Obviously had to go to Cafe du Monde for beignets and coffee. Love.

So those were just a few snippets from my recent travels. So much happened in NOLA that I will definitely have to do a separate post about it.

I have a lot of great content coming soon! Keep up with me on Instagram and Snap Chat @ Sarafinasaid!
